Stage 2- Bensenville, Il
The old course. 6 corners, 40 miles, 45 laps; 80, sunny, and low wind. It pretty much stayed together the whole race. There are a few teams in from California and Florida that seem to just want to sprint. It's really quite lame. This same asshole has bridged up to a move I was in and another with Hareland and just refused to work. Just refused. He was only there to spoil it.
Unfortunately, that is what seems to be the predominant feeling in the field. People will chase and chase to keep it together for their sprinters..... not really fun racing.
We're coming down to the finish, 3 guys had squirted away a few laps earlier and we're just essentially rolling around setting up for the field sprint. Down to 2 to go and this prick squeezed Hareland into the curb and he went down. BUMMER! Flood stopped to check on him. I sprinted it out, but again finished outside the top 18.
Hareland is ok. Some scrapes and bruises. He'll be sore tomorrow for sure.
On to the "hilly" road race of the series tomorrow at Alpine Valley, hopefully with better luck.
Fuck Illinois!

Yeah, fuck Illinois! All those tolls and the worst highways and traffic I've ever seen. Sounds like those Wisconsin 30+ wanks boycotted the Illinois races. Good for them. Or maybe they heard that AP is coming to town later this week and decided to save a little juice.
Snide, I didn't give you permission to use my photo in that other Superweek post, bastard. My full frontal is much better.
See you guys soon, be fast.
AP
